- July, 20, 2011 - Joomla installer updated to 1.7.0
- May 10, 2011 - Magento installer updated to 1.5.1.0
-
Upgrade Joomla! from 1.5.x to 1.7.x is not possible using cPanel.
You can use jUpgrade to migrate to 1.6.5 first (docs here) then upgrade from 1.6.5 to 1.7 (docs here) - Magento upgrade is possible but most of the time old templates are not compatible with new versions
- Is not recommended to do an upgrade to a production website

Install Instructions
To install a cPAddon, you need a server with cPanel/WHM and root access. First, connect to WHM, click on cPAddons then add eName in the list for providers:
http://www.ename.ro/cpaddons
After that, Joomla and Magento will appear in the list of applications (see screenshot above). Check Joomla and click on "Update Addon Config".
Note: If you choose to install Joomla cPanel Addon that is available for free but not Magento, please do not mark the checkbox from WHM for Magento - otherwise the page will give an error and you have to manually uninstall it.
If you have a custom settings for features (from "Feature Manager"), then you edit features and check (at least) the new installed cpaddons (see screenshot). If you have the default features (eg. features were never changed), new cpaddons will appear without any changei in Feature Manager.
Copy Joomla & Magento icon:
cp /usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/eName/CMS/Joomla/joomla-logo.png /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/default/images/ cp /usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/eName/Ecommerce/Magento/magento-logo.png /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/default/images/Magento tries to write cache and session data in /tmp instead of var/ but this doesn't work for multiple installs. Is better to create an empty file in /tmp to prevent Magento writting there.
touch /tmp/magentoRequires pdo_mysql extension for Magento.
This is how it looks from users's cPanel:
Uninstall
To complete remove both cpaddons, erase this directory and files:
rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/eName rm -f /usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/cPAddonsAvailable/eName.pm rm -f /usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/cPAddonsMD5/eName.pmTo remove eName from vendors list you have to edit
/usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/cPAddonsConf.pm
